MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR/ORIGINATOR

NW Priority Credit Union has a full-time Mortgage Loan Processor/Originator position available for our Main Office.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: In this position, you would be answering questions regarding credit union policies and assisting members in applying for loans. Preparing loan documentations and entering the information into the computer. Approving and closing loans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs lending functions in conformance with established credit union policies and procedures. Interviews loan applicants for both mortgage and consumer loans in person, by telephone and e-mail, gathering required information for credit applications, explaining loan options, rates, terms and collateral requirements.
  • Provides routine information on credit union loan services, types of loans available, eligibility requirements, rates, terms and collateral requirements. Provides financial counseling.
  • Ensures all TRID disclosures are correct and given to members in accordance with TRID timelines.
  • Keeps current on changing legislation regarding mortgages and consumer lending.
  • Serves as both originator and processor on mortgage loans.
  • Act as members’ main point of contact throughout the entire mortgage process, ensuring excellent levels of member service by providing guidance/advice/counsel on the process, product and pricing in a detailed and comprehensive manner.
  • Recognizes members' needs for various services and cross-sells credit union services when appropriate or refers members to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Answers routine member inquiries regarding account balances, payment amounts, status or history. Gives Blue Book information upon request.
  • Obtains credit reports when required, verifies debts, calculates monthly payments, calculates debt ratio, verifies income, determines collateral needs and verifies insurance coverage for each applicant.
  • Approves loans to a predetermined loan limit. Refers loans over the predetermined limit to designated individuals.
  • Prepares loan documents, including notes, security agreements, payroll deduction authorization, vehicle title forms, etc. Verifies that all documents have been accurately completed. Prepares disbursement checks.

Qualifications: Minimum of two years mortgage and consumer loan experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

CONSUMER LOAN OFFICER

NW Priority Credit Union has a full-time Consumer Loan Officer position available for our Main Office.
Working hours: Monday – Friday | 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Our member-facing position answers questions and assists members in applying for loans. Prepares loan documentation and enters into computer. Underwrites, approves and closes loans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Interviews loan applicants by gathering the required information for credit applications, explaining loan options, rates, terms and collateral requirements.
  • Answers routine member inquiries regarding account balances, payment amounts, status or history. Gives Blue Book information upon request.
  • Obtains credit reports when required, verifies debts, calculates monthly payments, calculates debt ratio, verifies income, determines collateral needs and verifies insurance coverage for each applicant.
  • Approves loans to a predetermined loan limit. Refers loans over the predetermined limit to designated individuals.
  • Prepares and verifies loan documents, including notes, security agreements, payroll deduction authorization and vehicle title forms have been accurately completed.
  • Prepares disbursement checks.

Qualifications: Minimum of one-year prior loan interviewing or loan processing experience required.

BRANCH LOAN OFFICER/MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

NW Priority Credit Union is seeking a positive and professional individual to service our members while promoting our financial products and services. The Branch Loan Officer / Member Service Representative position is a key role at NWPCU, your performance is critical to our overall success of the credit union. You will join a team of dynamic and outgoing employees who strive to provide superior service and administer precise transactions and loans while complying with policies, procedures and regulatory financial requirements.

Working hours: Monday - Friday 8:45 am to 5:45 pm

Location: 18821 SE McLoughlin Blvd, Milwaukie, OR 97267

  • Performs monetary transactions (Deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments)
  • Verifies negotiable items and member identification
  • Maintains and balances assigned cash drawer daily
  • Recognizes members’ needs to proactively open, maintain and update all accounts
  • Process consumer loans and refer other products such as investment services

This position requires a diploma/GED and reliable employment history of two years processing consumer loans and opening new accounts. Ability to be certified by NMLS required. Computer basics and phone etiquette, along with excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
