IT SPECIALIST II

NW Priority Credit Union is seeking a professional individual to provide support to employees and members as our IT Specialist II.

Qualifications:

Two-year Associates Degree in computer-related field or a minimum of two years working experience in IT (system admin) field. Previous experience in IT field in another credit union or financial institution is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with any of the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Configure individual workstations from the OS up, loading necessary software and testing the configuration. Provide current hardware and software updates as they are approved by management. Deploy new equipment across multiple branches. Install and maintain software in an enterprise environment utilizing GPOs and other techniques.
  • Troubleshoot computer problems, determine source and advise on appropriate action.
  • Assist in repairing, testing, installing and maintaining all PCs and related hardware and software.
  • System performance tuning; ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running, supporting, maintaining and documenting system and application functionality.
  • Run and distribute various daily reports, notices and postings for departments. Distribute file exports for multiple departments.
  • Assist in researching solutions and new IT procedures to keep credit union technology ahead of the curve.
  • Document incidents and activity in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Test systems in accordance to policies.
  • Maintain backups for network, operating system and archive system.
  • Maintain phone system for all offices.
  • Maintain compliance with our strict chain-of-custody process for confidential documents until their secure destruction.
  • Adhere to internal procedures and controls; maintain the highest level of confidentiality; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws or regulations and report any suspicious employee and/or member activity.
  • Provide support to credit union staff via phone and in-person with online banking. Facilitate communication between credit union staff and our various online partners. Assist credit union staff with members when required.
  • Maintain working knowledge of credit union products and services and stay up-to-date on policy and procedural requirements as well as compliance guidelines; adhere to all federal and state compliance guidelines relative to the position.
  • Train new and existing employees on various systems individually or in a classroom/virtual setting.
  • Become an expert in the teller system and all systems linked to it.
  • Working with various third-party vendors.
  • Responsible for complying with all laws, statutes, rules and regulations which govern the credit union, including but not limited to all components of the Bank Secrecy Act provisions of the US Patriot Act. Adhere to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act/Financial Modernization Act of 1999.
  • Participate in required meetings and training.

Flexible schedule between the hours of 7:00am – 6:00pm with occasional overtime. Schedule fluctuates depending on computer calendar/credit union needs. Some evening and weekends.


MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SUPERVISOR

NW Priority Credit Union is seeking a positive and professional individual to supervise our member service staff and assist our members as a Member Service Representative Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a diploma/GED and a minimum four years teller/new accounts experience with minimum two years supervisory and training experience. Computer basics and phone etiquette, along with excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily operations of the teller area. Responsible for supervision and training of teller staff. Handles teller transactions, opens new accounts and cross services credit union products to new and existing members.
  • Assists with operational duties, reports, audits and procedures to maximize efficiency and quality of work and to provide consistent quality service to members.

MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

The Member Service Representative position is a key role at NWPCU, your performance is critical to our overall success of the credit union. You will join a team of dynamic and outgoing employees who strive to provide superior service and administer precise transactions while complying with policies, procedures and regulatory financial requirements.

Working hours: Monday - Friday 8:45 am – 5:45 pm

Location: Main Office:  12630 SE Division Street, Portland, OR 97236

  • Performs monetary transactions (Deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments)
  • Verifies negotiable items and member identification
  • Maintains and balances assigned cash drawer daily
  • Recognizes members’ needs to proactively open, maintain and update personal accounts
  • Refer members to other services for loan and investment services

This position requires a diploma/GED and a reliable past employment performance as a teller or two years retail. Computer basics and phone etiquette, along with excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
