Member Service Representative Main Office & Milwaukie | Beaverton Branch Manager | Administrative Assistant Coordinator

MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - Two openings

The Member Service Representative position is a key role at NWPCU, your performance is critical to our overall success of the credit union. You will join a team of dynamic and outgoing employees who strive to provide superior service and administer precise transactions while complying with policies, procedures and regulatory financial requirements.

Working hours: Monday - Friday 8:45 am – 5:45 pm

  • Performs monetary transactions (Deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments)
  • Verifies negotiable items and member identification
  • Maintains and balances assigned cash drawer daily
  • Recognizes members’ needs to proactively open, maintain and update personal accounts
  • Refer members to other services for loan and investment services
  • This position requires a diploma/GED and a reliable past employment performance as a teller or two years retail. Computer basics and phone etiquette, along with excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

BEAVERTON BRANCH MANAGER

NW Priority Credit Union is currently seeking a Branch Manager at our Beaverton, OR location. The Branch Manager coordinates and supervises branch functions to provide quality service to members.

Qualifications Include:

  • Minimum of two years as a Branch Manager OR five years as an Assistant Branch Manager in a credit union or other financial institution.
  • Knowledge of consumer loan policy, credit granting criteria, interest rate computations and loan documentation necessary for each type of loan, is required.
  • Successful completion of high school diploma coursework or equivalent.

The responsibilities of the Branch Manager position include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day branch operations, including supervision of staff
  • Process consumer loans
  • Open new accounts
  • All aspects of member service including processing teller transactions.
  • Cross-service and provide information on credit union products and services, answer questions regarding credit union policies and procedures.
  • Coaching staff to provide appropriate financial products and services to the membership.

The successful candidate will promote positive member relations by defining member needs along with excellent member service and communication.

Possess a high level of knowledge and experience with operations, regulation compliance and proper cash controls.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with current and potential SEG groups and across all departments within the credit union. Have the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. When needed, must be able to travel to other branch locations within the Portland metro area.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT COORDINATOR - MAIN OFFICE

NW Priority Credit Union is seeking an outgoing and self-motivated professional individual to assist our Financial Advisor. We have a full-time Administrative Assistant/Coordinator position available.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Financial Advisor.
  • Schedules client appointments for the Financial Advisor.
  • Provides in-person assistance to members of the credit union with questions regarding the MEMBERS Financial Services Program, IRA’s, Retirement questions, etc.
  • Prepares and maintains schedules, memos and other correspondence.
  • Assist with seminar preparations including assembling seminar packets, room arrangements, keeping lobby materials well-stocked and confirming seminar attendance.
  • Coordinate mailings of newsletters, surveys, seminars, annual review letters and appointment information cards.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to represent the Financial Services Representative and credit union with a high level of integrity and professionalism to members and credit union staff.
  • Experience coordinating schedules and meeting events.
  • Possesses clerical skills such as organization, attention to detail, typing, filing, telephones, etc.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs.
  • Ability to monitor and maintain sensitive information using multiple databases.
  • Strong comfort level with navigating the internet for research.
