Member Service Representative

Member Service Representative

NW Priority Credit Union currently has a full-time Member Service Representative position available for our Main Branch location at 12630 SE Division, Portland, OR 97236.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes all types of monetary/non-monetary transactions within established limits to prevent fraud and losses.
  • Maintains and balances assigned cash drawer daily and follows security procedures.
  • Recognizes members’ needs to proactively open, maintain and update personal accounts and refer members to other products such as loans and investment services.
  • Provides routine information on credit union services, policies, membership eligibility, types of credit union accounts, inquiries regarding account balance, status and history.
  • Responsible for complying with all laws, statutes, rules and regulations which govern the credit union, including but not limited to all components of the Bank Secrecy Act provisions of the US Patriot Act.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to represent the Credit Union with a high level of integrity and professionalism to members and to interact daily with staff and management.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in dealing with the membership and staff.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year MSR/Teller experience working in a Financial Institution.
  • Cash handling/Customer Service/Retail experience required.

Receptionist Position

Receptionist Position

NW Priority Credit Union currently has a full-time Receptionist position located at our Main Office branch at 12630 SE Division Portland, OR 97236.

The responsibilities of the Receptionist position include but are not limited to:

  • Answers multiple lines on a multiple extension switchboard promptly and courteously. Directs calls to the correct extension, department or branch. Takes messages, as needed, and directs messages to appropriate staff member, department or branch. Answers members’ questions to ascertain what department or staff member can best help the member.
  • Greets members and visitors upon arriving in credit union and directs them to the correct staff member or department. Advises staff members when there is someone waiting for them in the lobby.
  • Provides routine information on credit union including current hours, phone numbers and location of branches.
  • Sorts and delivers all incoming mail and courier bags to the proper department or staff member.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

The successful candidate will promote positive member relations by defining member needs along with excellent member service and communication. Dependability is very important in this position. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and maintain account confidentiality in dealing with membership and staff.

Qualifications Include: High School Diploma/GED, Minimum 6 months receptionist/switchboard or customer service experience required.

Consumer Loan Officer

Consumer Loan Officer

NW Priority Credit Union currently has a full-time Consumer Loan Officer position available for our Main Office branch located at 12630 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97236.

Responsibilities:

  • Process consumer loans and refer other products such as investment services.
  • Performs lending functions in conformance with established credit union policies and procedures.
  • Authorizes the approval of loans within the policies and guidelines established by the credit union.
  • Responsible for complying with all laws, statutes, rules and regulations which govern the credit union, including but not limited to all components of the Bank Secrecy Act provisions of the US Patriot Act.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to represent the Credit Union professionally and positively to members and to interact daily with staff and management.
  • Basic knowledge of mortgage and consumer laws and the procedures required to maintain compliance with those laws.
  • Basic knowledge of credit union policies, credit granting criteria, interest rates and how they are computed and the documentation necessary for each loan type offered.
  • Ability to be certified through NMLS.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in dealing with the membership and staff.
  • Experience with Mortgage Lending is required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • One year mortgage lending experience required.
  • One year consumer loan experience required.
