We have five candidates for the three available positions on the Board of Directors.

2024 Board of Director Candidates – In Alphabetic Order

Cindy Gray – Incumbent

I became a member of NWPCU in 1973.  I have served as a volunteer since 1993, first on the Supervisory Committee and the Board of Directors since 2002.  In this ever-changing technology world, I believe we should provide our members with the most current financial products and services possible. Our strong management team has provided a financially safe and sound credit union for our members.  It has been a privilege to serve on the Board, and with your support, I would like to serve another term.

Willie Groshell

I have been a letter carrier for over 18 years.  I believe in the mission of this credit union and want to ensure that the voices of letter carriers, clerks, mail handlers and other craft employees are well represented in this great institution. I have been the Oregon State President of the NALC since 2019. I have extensive leadership experience and lobbying experience on both a local and national level.  I stepped down as president in December 2023, when I accepted a full-time job as an RWCA (Reginal Workers Compensation Assistant) for the National NALC at the Region 2 NALC office in Vancouver, WA.  My leadership and advocacy role continues, and I would be honored to use my skills and knowledge to help move our credit union forward to an even brighter future.

Rome Hortaleza – Incumbent

Serving on the Board for the last nine years has given me more knowledge and experience in keeping NWPCU a viable institution, offering the services and products to meet your financial needs.  With some recent additions to the staff, I’m excited to work with these professionals to help them achieve their goals and, ultimately, your goals. Being a member of this group is rewarding in itself, and helping to make decisions that have positive results brings a sense of accomplishment that benefits all members. If you allow me to serve another term, I will do my best to help NWPCU maintain a bright and successful future.

Lee Travis

As a retired letter carrier for over 19 years and with 14 years of progressive positions within prominent credit unions in California and Oregon, I have realized the success of an organization is based on the philosophy that the Board of Directors are responsible for the strategic macromanagement of the credit union; while the strategic plan is executed by the credit union management themselves. It is my hope that I can be a servant leader on this board of directors.

Lynn Yut – Incumbent

I have had the honor of serving this credit union on the Board of Directors for the past six years. I have been a member for over 30 years and recently retired from the USPS after 37 years of service. If selected to continue in this role on the board, I am committed to being engaged and making impactful decisions to benefit NW Priority Credit Union and all of its members.
