Earn While You Learn

If you haven’t already heard, our “Earn While You Learn” program is designed to inspire and reward our young members.

For every “A” (or highest grade possible in a subject) a student receives on their end-of-the-year report card, they will receive $1 deposited into their account. It’s simply another great benefit of being a member of NW Priority Credit Union!

Here’s how it works:

  • To qualify they must be the primary member of the NWPCU
  • Enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Funds will be given to qualifying subjects: Language Arts, Health, Math, English (Reading), Science, and Social Studies.
  • Photocopy the student’s end-of-the-year report card.
  • Parent or guardian must complete the “Earn While You Learn” form which will be available online and at each of our locations in May of each year.
  • You will then e-mail, drop it off at a NWPCU branch, or mail a copy of the student’s end-of-the-year report card for the school year along with the “Earn While You Learn” Form to:
    • email[email protected] or
    • mail: NW Priority Credit Union,
      ATTN: Marketing Department,
      PO Box 16640,
      Portland, OR 97292-0640.
  • The deposit will be posted to the student’s savings account each August.

Student Scholarships

We’ve got a Scholarship for YOU!

Each year, we award four $1,000 Student Scholarships to future and current college students who are members of the Credit Union. Students will be judged based on written essays, academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, financial need, and community service.

Must be a primary member in good standing* of NW Priority Credit Union for at least 1 year. Be a graduating senior or current college student with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale who will enroll in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S.

*An account is considered in good standing if the following conditions are met. The member must be current or within their 28-day grace period with any loan obligations to the credit union. The member’s checking account must have a positive available balance.

Official families and employees of NWPCU and their families (parents, children, siblings, and spouses) are not eligible to receive a scholarship.

Not a member yet? See if you’re eligible.

We were here in 1928. We are here now. Over 95 years, we’ve seen it all. No matter what, we still stick to the old-fashioned credit union philosophy of “People Helping People”.
